Ponies and donkeys

Does your child dream of going horseback riding?
With us, this dream becomes reality! We invite you to discover the magnificent marshes of Bresles in the Oise region, right next to the campsite, in the company of one of our faithful and friendly ponies. You’ll also cross the small river Trye, 500 meters away, a lovely tributary of the Thérain, which flows into the Oise.

How does it work?
We like to book ponies and donkeys in advance. Because preparing a pony takes a little time. First we pick up the pony(s) in the meadow below the campsite. Don’t hesitate to join us. The kids love coming out to the meadow! And we don’t mind a few extra arms sometimes. 🙂
Then the pony needs a good brushing, because our animals are out in the meadow all year round and they love to roll around on the ground.
After brushing, we install the rug and saddle, as well as the reins. Finally, we fetch the right size spray for the rider. As a hygienic precaution, we supply the horses with hairnets.

Let’s go!
We rent out ponies, not accompany them. We take the time to explain to you how to handle your horse, how to talk to it and which is the most pleasant and suitable route for your ride.

We offer two options:

1. You feel ready to take the pony in hand. After 50 meters at your side, we’ll let you go off on your own for a grand tour of the marshes.
2. You’re not too comfortable and/or the rider is very young. In this case, we suggest a shorter tour (on the paths around the Bresles stadium) and we’ll stay with you a little longer. After riding with you for 100 or 200 meters, when you feel ready, we’ll let you go off on your own.

Seven ponies and a donkey
Our “stable” has a total of 7 ponies: 2 double ponies, Etoile and Cahouette, and 5 ponies of all sizes: Poly, Choupinette, India, Nina and the youngest, Cookie. And the nicest of all is our donkey, Esteban!
Double ponies can be ridden by teenagers or adults (up to 85 kg).
